Covid-19 Guidelines: New Rules in Delhi, Gurugram, Mumbai, Rajasthan, Indore; Night Curfew & Other Restrictions
Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat are imposing fresh movement restrictions starting from November 21, in the wake of rising Covid-19 cases.
With 45,209 new cases of coronavirus recorded on Saturday, the total number of active cases has risen above 5 lakh across India. However, there is a climb in the number of cases of Covid-19 in few of the cities. Most of the cities had their first wave in the month of June and July this year. Curfews in the night time and Section 144 are returning to many urban localities in the wake of the outbreak.
Below listed are the new regulations for the cities:
Delhi Covid-19 guidelines
Firstly, weddings in the capital will be allowed to have only 50 people . Secondly, for somebody who will violate the Covid 19 rules and regulations and not wear a mask will be fined upto rupees 5000. Thirdly, Delhi’s markets will keep on operating but will be under strict supervision. Fourthly, complete lock-down of the capital will not happen as said CM of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal.
Mumbai Covid-19 guidelines
In Mumbai, any school that falls under the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation won’t be opening for the rest of the year. The local administrations are left with the decision of when to reopen the schools. Also, Thane has also decided not to open any schools for the year of 2020.
Gurgaon:
The reopening of schools led to 174 students and 107 teachers getting infected with Covid-19. State government of Haryana has decided to close all schools till November 30, 2020.
Indore:
Curfew in the night time that will start from 10 pm till 6 am has been implemented in the city from November 21 2020. This curfew will not be applicable for somebody working with the essential services or factories. Along with Indore, other places like Bhopal, Gwalior, Vidisha and Ratlam have also implemented the same. Entire state of Madhya Pradesh won’t be experiencing a complete lock-down as conveyed by chief minister of MP, Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Jaipur:
All the districts in the state of Rajasthan are experiencing Section 144 from November 21, 2020.
Ahmedabad:
Firstly, the city is experiencing curfew that started from November 20, 2020 and will last till November 23, 2020. Milk shops and pharmacies will be allowed to operate within the curfew days. The timings for the curfew is between 9 pm till 6 am. Secondly, the earlier decision made to reopen schools and colleges from November 23, 2020 is dismissed until further notice. Thirdly, other cities apart from Ahmedabad have also imposed night curfew. Those cities are Rajkot, Surat, Vadodara.
