Delhi-NCR, Himachal, Bengal, Karnataka & Many Other States to Receive Rainfall Today; Yellow Alert Issued
IMD has warned of heavy rainfall in Delhi, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh till October 9.
Several regions in India witnessed good rainfall in the past few days. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), the monsoon has withdrawn from most parts of the country but rainfall will continue for a few more days.
There was a change in the weather pattern in several places as a result of the cyclonic circulation caused by Super Cyclone Noru over the Bay of Bengal. The weather department said that monsoon rain is likely over several parts of the country today.
States that will receive rainfall include West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar. There is also a possibility of monsoon rain in some parts of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, East Rajasthan, and Haryana.
Delhi weather update
IMD predicted that several parts of Delhi and the NCR as well as Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh may get light to moderate showers till October 9. A yellow alert has been issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in all these states.
Light to heavy rainfall is also expected over Andaman, Nicobar, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Andhra Pradesh, according to IMD. Additionally, the IMD has predicted rain for various regions in south Maharashtra, West Bengal, and Chhattisgarh for two to three days starting today.
Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Yanam, Puducherry, and Karaikal will also receive little rainfall for the next few days.
There is a possibility of rain in Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Goa, and West Madhya Pradesh.
