The Delhi Government launched the 'Shramik Mitra' scheme on Monday to guarantee that the benefits of government schemes reach workers in the national capital.
According to a press release from the Delhi government, a total of 800 'Shramik Mitras' would visit construction workers at their houses and enlighten them about the schemes launched by the Delhi government in their best interests.
Furthermore, these 800 'Shramik Mitra' will connect construction workers with applicable government schemes, ensuring that no worker is left out of the schemes or deprived of any assistance. Manish Sisodia, Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi attended the program's debut. "Several government schemes are developed for the benefit of workers, but the workers are unaware of them. This campaign began with the goal of making workers aware of the benefits of the schemes as soon as possible "Sisodia said.
He further stated that this scheme will educate 700 to 800 Shramik Mitras to serve as District, Vidhan Sabha, and Ward level Coordinators. "It shall be guaranteed that there are at least three to four Shramik Mitras in each ward who can assist the construction workers. Their job will be to inform the construction workers registered with the Construction Board at the ward level about government support schemes for the workers. Apply for it and assist them till the workers get all the benefits from the scheme "He said.
He praised the Delhi government, saying, "The Kejriwal government is always committed to working for the betterment of the workers and always standing by the workers side.”
He continued by stating that the Delhi government's objective is to instill confidence among workers that the Arvind Kejriwal-led government is on their side and would fight to fulfill all of their dreams. (ANI)
