Delhi Weather Update: Temperatures Begin to Dip; Further Fall Expected Over Next 6 Days

Over the last two days, the minimum temperature in Delhi has begun to fall, remaining below 15 degrees Celsius. The low temperature early Saturday was 12.6 degrees Celsius, a degree below normal for this time of year and the lowest so far this month. On Friday, the temperature was 14.6 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature is expected to drop further to around 11 degrees Celsius by November 18, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Over the next six days, the maximum temperature is expected to fall similarly, remaining below 30 degrees Celsius.

The high temperature on Friday was 28.5 degrees Celsius, a degree below normal for this time of year and a drop from the previous day's high of 33 degrees Celsius. By November 18, the temperature is expected to drop to around 26 degrees Celsius.

According to the IMD forecast, there will be shallow fog in the mornings from November 13 to 18. At 8.30 a.m. on Saturday, the temperature was around 17 degrees Celsius. Snow or rain is expected over Himachal Pradesh, isolated parts of Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh on November 13 and 14.

 According to an IMD update issued Saturday morning, this is likely to result in a drop in minimum temperatures over many parts of northwest India over the next 24 hours. Meanwhile, Delhi's air quality remained in the'very poor' category at 9 a.m., with an AQI of 311.

Saturday morning, the city's monitoring stations recorded 24-hour average AQI levels in the 'very poor' or 'poor' categories. Other parts of the NCR had slightly better air quality: Noida had a 24-hour average AQI of 242 at 9 a.m., Faridabad had 278, and Gurgaon had 300.
