Dhanuka Agritech Hosts Event on How Futuristic Technologies are Revolutionizing Indian Agriculture Industry

In a major event held at Hotel Taj Palace in New Delhi on Friday, May 12, 2023, Dhanuka Agritech Limited brought together experts and industry leaders to discuss the latest technologies and their impact on the agriculture sector.

The full-day conference, themed on "Futuristic New Technologies in Agriculture: A Game Changer for Indian Economy" featured insightful discussions on important themes, issues, and opportunities in the agriculture sector.

R G Agarwal, Chairman of the Dhanuka Agritech Pvt Ltd while addressing the conference said, “Agriculture gives us food and farmers are our ‘annadaata’. And, without technology, we cannot progress so, our scientists also equally play a prime role in agriculture." He mentioned about, "the latest technologies like drones, climate meters among others that will help in assisting farmers while farming in fields. Also, we are self-sufficient in food production, and in the upcoming years, India will become a food hub of the world and export food grains across the world.”

The presentation on ‘scope and future of GM Crops in bringing a paradigm shift in agriculture’ was also presented by the Former Vice Chancellor of South Campus Delhi University, Deepak Pental, who developed India’s first GM mustard hybrid crop DMHL 11, which has been cleared by GEAC, MOEFNCC and the Government of India and is undergoing post-release monitoring for commercial release.

Further, Dr. R S Paroda, Former DG, of ICAR, and DARE, Founder and Chairman of TASS also addressed the conference and shared his views on soil health, plant health, animal health, and human health, as well as food and nutrition.

Several experts from diverse fields and ministers shared their insights and expertise on emerging technologies like precision agriculture, drone technology, and artificial intelligence.

The conference also witnessed the various presentations staged by eminent experts and guests and solutions aiming at increased productivity and profitability for farmers.

Overall, the event was a resounding success, bringing together key stakeholders in the agriculture industry to discuss and explore innovative ways to drive growth and development in the agriculture sector.
