e-Shram Card 2022: Modi Govt. Provides Benefit of Up to Rs. 2 Lakh; Register Now

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government had launched the e-shram platform to provide financial support to people working in the unorganized sector. Indian laborers would be assisted in finding work based on their skills through this platform.
Workers interested in taking advantage of this initiative can register online by filling the e-shram card registration form 2022 available on the official website eshram.gov.in. The Ministry of Labor and Employment is in charge of the e-Shram Card Scheme.
Registration Figure Crosses 15 Crores in 4 Months
On the e-shram platform, more than 15 crore workers have enrolled so far. On December 25, Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav said that every third worker in India's informal sector is now registered on the e-shram portal, with the total number of registrations crossing 15 crores in just four months.
On the e-shram portal, a database of informal sector employees is being built, which will aid the government in passing on the benefits of various social security and other welfare initiatives to them. On August 26, 2021, the e-shram portal was launched. Additionally, Yogi Adityanath is giving Rs 1000 to 2.31 Crore registered workers in the state.
According to the latest data from the e-Shram portal, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, and Jharkhand are the top five states in terms of registration. Women make up 52.56% of those who registered, while men make up 47.44%.
There are 3 types of Benefits in this Scheme:

The first benefit pertains to accidental death.

If the insured person dies, the nominee will get Rs 2 lakh.

If someone loses both of his/her hands, feet, or eyes in an accident, he/she will still get the benefit of Rs 2 lakhs.

If he/she loses sight of one eye or is disabled in one leg or hand, then he/she will get a benefit of Rs 1 lakh.

Self-registration can be done through the e-shram portal via: http://eshram.gov.in.

You can register through Common Service Centers.

Registration can also be done by the regional offices of the state government in the districts/sub-districts.
