Congress Party Promised to Limit LPG Cylinder Price Below Rs 500

Before the assembly elections 2022, the Congress party declared four main commitments for Uttarakhand. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel promised to keep LPG cylinder prices below Rs 500 during a press conference with ex- Chief Minister Harish Rawat.

Party Guaranteed Jobs to 4 Lakh Young People & Financial Help of Rs 40 K Per Year

Under its 'Char Dham, Char Kaam' election pledge, the Congress party also guaranteed jobs to 4 lakh young people. At least five lakh families will receive financial help of Rs 40,000 per year, according to the party.

"To prevent youth from fleeing Uttarakhand because to unemployment, Congress will provide job chances to 4 lakh youth. The party will also grant a self-sufficiency payment of 40,000 rupees per year to 5 lakh families," the party stated.

Party Promised To Maintain LPG Cost Below Rs 500

If elected, the party also promised to maintain LPG costs below Rs 500 per cylinder. "Today, we are pledging in our manifesto that if we form government in Uttarakhand, LPG cylinder costs will not exceed Rs 500," Baghel remarked.

The party also stated that if elected, the Congress government will work hard to improve the state of Uttarakhand's antiquated health facilities under the 'Health facilities Har Gaon – Har Dwar' initiative. The opposition Congress wants to retake power in the hill state, while the ruling BJP wants to keep power for a second term.

Voting To Take Place on February 14, 2022

While the state is expected to see a frontal struggle between the BJP and the Congress, the debutant Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) may play spoiler by cutting into both parties' vote share. The Uttarakhand assembly has 70 seats, with a 36-seat majority. The voting will take place on February 14 and the results will be announced on March 10.
