Empowering PACS: 250 Chairpersons Witness Republic Day Parade 2024 as Special Guests

The Republic Day Parade 2024 held at Kartavyapath witnessed a unique gathering as the Chairpersons of approximately 250 Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), along with their spouses, were invited as ‘Special Guests’ by the Government of India. These dignitaries, who came from all over the nation, later participated in the vibrant ‘Bharat Parv’ celebrations at the iconic Red Fort. In pursuit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of ‘Sahakar se Samriddhi’ (Prosperity through Cooperation), the Ministry of Cooperation, led by Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah, has embarked on over 54 initiatives within a short timeframe. Among these initiatives, the 'Computerization of PACS' project stands out, with 63,000 PACS undergoing computerization at a total cost of Rs. 2,516 Crores. Notably, over 12,000 PACS across 28 States/UTs have already undergone this transformation.
