Every Village should have its Drone Entrepreneur: Preet Sandhuu, Founder & Director of AVPL International
At KJ Chaupal, Preet Sandhuu highlighted her mission to empower rural youth by making drone technology accessible to farmers and transforming them into entrepreneurs.
Preet Sandhuu, Founder and Director of AVPL International, visited the Krishi Jagran Office in New Delhi on August 9, 2024. Through her visionary leadership, she successfully expanded the company to 12 states and 70 locations across India. At KJ Chaupal, Preet Sandhuu emphasized the empowerment of rural youth through drone technology, aiming to establish a network of drone entrepreneurs in every village. She highlighted AVPL International's commitment to transforming agriculture and providing essential skills for sustainable livelihoods.
Upon arrival, Preet Sandhuu was warmly welcomed by M C Dominic, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Krishi Jagran. A video tracing Krishi Jagran's journey from its inception to the present was showcased.
In her address, Sandhuu underscored the company's mission to transform the agricultural landscape by making drone technology accessible to farmers. She outlined her commitment to empowering rural youth, particularly those unable to pursue higher education, by providing them with essential skills for sustainable livelihoods.
"We have been working on several skill development initiatives, including government-sponsored programs, to train candidates in various skills such as paper making, beauty & wellness, electrical work, plumbing, and more. Farming is the foundation of rural regions, and many of those we train are farmers. Our goal is to transform their lives by offering training within their communities, enabling them to secure employment locally," said Sandhuu.
She further elaborated on the decision to focus on drone technology, stating, "We realized the potential of training individuals as entrepreneurs rather than job seekers. Our aim is to establish a network of drone entrepreneurs across every village in India. By training youth in drone piloting and related skills, we hope to make this technology accessible at the grassroots level. The drone industry offers numerous job opportunities, including roles for engineers, drone designers, technicians, and assemblers. We envision a future where every village has a drone entrepreneur who can drive innovation and uplift their community."
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks and a group photograph to commemorate the occasion.
