The Expo 2023 Doha aims to achieve a mark in contemporary agricultural inventions and practices by bringing people and ideas together. This will help modern agriculture to accelerate innovation, research, and scientific advancements.

The Expo's objective is to encourage innovation, research, and scientific developments in contemporary agriculture to produce healthy, sustainable, and affordable food for the world's growing population while reducing the impact of climate change, claimed its official website.

The contemporary agricultural segment of the Expo will primarily focus on boosting the role of farmers who are the true changemakers, as they have the experience and everyday perspective to inform, promote, and implement desertification solutions.

Furthermore, Expo 2023 Doha will also emphasize integrating knowledge and technology, ensuring coordinated solutions, and promoting permaculture. Permaculture, a holistic approach, is used to attain agricultural solutions that can be planted in rural and urban settings at all scales, from industrial to domestic. It is a symbiotic and collaborative approach to modern agriculture that Expo 2023 Doha is pushing.

As per the Expo's website, it was stated that the need for new methods of coordination and cooperation arises due to the exchange of information among the major stakeholders in modern agriculture. The sharing and development of information on techniques that integrate innovation into traditional wisdom will contribute to the prevention of further desertification.

Expo Doha 2023 will be held at Al Bidda Park from October 2 to March 28, 2024. The event will be organized in 1.7 million square meters divided into three zones: the International Zone, the Family Zone, and the Cultural Zone.

The Expo House is shaped like a hill and blends into the natural surroundings of Al Bidda Park. The pavilion is formed like a semicircle, with a large open space in front and a fountain as the focal point. The benches around the pavilion's sides form a natural amphitheater, providing spectacular views and a suitable location for the Expo's events and meetings.

By bringing together stakeholders in modern agriculture, Expo 2023 Doha seeks to develop and share information on techniques that integrate innovation into traditional wisdom and contribute to the prevention of further desertification.
