The all new Aadhaar card will come in a totally different avatar as the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has permitted it to be republished as polyvinyl chloride (PVC) card. - New card is water proof and can possibly withstand any climate
- Instant offline verification is possible by the use of QR code
- New card consists of features like issue date and print date
- New card will have the embossed Aadhaar Logo in them
The all-new Aadhaar PVC card can be ordered by those who do not have a registered mobile number.
Order Aadhaar Card' is another new service launched by UIDAI which encourages the Aadhaar holder to get their Aadhaar details imprinted on a PVC card by paying minimal charges. Inhabitants who don't have enlisted registered number can likewise arrange utilizing Non-Registered or Alternate Mobile Number.
Tracking the status of your Aadhaar PVC card:
Aadhaar PVC card status can be tracked on www.uidai.gov.in under the 'My Aadhaar' tab
Below the 'My Aadhaar' tab, click on 'Check Aadhaar PVC card status'. On the next screen, you will be required to enter the 28-digit SRN, 12-digit Aadhaar number and captcha code. The status will be shown after clicking on 'Check Status'.
Time frame required for you to receive the Aadhaar PVC card?
As mentioned in the FAQ section in the UIDAI’s website. After raising the request for the new card, the UIDAI will hand over the card to the post office within the next five working days (which excludes the date of request) and the new card will be delivered by Speed Post services.
