Haryana Govt Employees to Get Two Years of Paid Paternity Leave! Details Inside

The Haryana Cabinet approved this on Wednesday by revising the 2016 Haryana Civil Services (Leave) Rules. According to a spokesperson for the government, a single male employee would be one who is lawfully divorced, widowed, or single.
In accordance with the Rules, a female government employee can additionally take advantage of childcare leave for a total of two years during the course of her employment to care for her two eldest surviving children up to the age of 18.
By revising Rule 46 of the HCS Rules, 2016, single male government employees, as well as female government employees, have access to childcare leave on the model of the Central government.
According to the spokesperson, mothers working for the government and single fathers of divyang children over the age of 18 are also eligible for childcare leave if the child has a disability that exceeds 60% according to a certificate of impairment issued by the proper authority and is entirely dependent on the mother or single father.
