In a major step towards empowering India’s unorganised workforce, Union Minister of Labour & Employment and Youth Affairs & Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, launched the "eShram – One Stop Solution" today in New Delhi. The launch event was attended by Union Minister of State for Labour & Employment, Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, along with senior officials from the Ministry of Labour & Employment.

Speaking at the launch, Dr. Mandaviya underscored the increasing trust in the eShram portal, stating, "Every day, around 60,000 to 90,000 workers are joining the eShram platform, which reflects their confidence in this initiative." He explained that the newly introduced "One Stop Solution" will provide unorganised workers registered on the eShram platform with easy access to various social security schemes. The platform aims to simplify the registration process, making it more transparent and user-friendly.

Dr. Mandaviya urged unorganised workers across the country to register on the eShram portal to benefit from numerous welfare initiatives launched by the government. These include critical schemes aimed at enhancing their livelihoods and ensuring their financial well-being. Sushri Shobha Karandlaje also highlighted the importance of integrating state government portals with eShram to ensure last-mile connectivity, enabling the identification of potential beneficiaries across districts and states.

The eShram One Stop Solution consolidates data from various Central Ministries and Departments into a unified repository, aligning with the government's recent budget announcement. Key welfare schemes like One Nation One Ration Card, MGNREGA, National Social Assistance Programme, and Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan are already integrated with eShram, with further onboarding of other schemes underway.

Since its inception in August 2021, the eShram portal has registered over 30 crore workers, reflecting its growing significance as a key resource for unorganised workers. The new platform promises to enhance their access to government schemes, ensuring their welfare and socio-economic upliftment.
