Govt. Reduces Prices of LPG Cylinder; Check Out the Price of LPG Cylinder in Your City

On Wednesday, oil marketing companies (OMC) cut the price of 19-kilogram commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 135 per cylinder. The lower pricing is effective immediately, beginning on June 1st.

On May 1, 2022, the price of the same commercial LPG cylinder was hiked by Rs 100 for every 19-kilogram cylinder. On April 1, the price of commercial LPG was hiked by Rs 250 per cylinder, while on March 1, the price was raised by Rs 105.

After the drop, the current price of commercial LPG in Delhi is Rs 2,219 per cylinder, down from Rs 2,355.50 per cylinder previously. The price of a 19-kilogram commercial LPG cylinder in Mumbai has dropped to Rs 2,171.50 from Rs 2,307.

The commercial LPG cylinder will cost Rs 2,322 in Kolkata instead of Rs 2,455. Customers in Chennai would have to pay Rs 2,373 for a commercial LPG cylinder starting June 1st, compared to Rs 2,508.

The change in the price of a 19-Kilogram Cylinder in different cities is as follows:

• The cost of a cylinder in Delhi is Rs 2,219.00.

• Rs 2,171.50 per cylinder in Mumbai

• Rs 2,322.00 per cylinder in Kolkata

• Rs 2,373.00 per cylinder in Chennai

The price of a household LPG cylinder has remained unchanged. In Delhi, a 14.2-kg LPG cylinder now costs Rs 1,003, compared to Rs 999.50 previously. On May 19, the pricing of both domestic and commercial LPG cylinders was raised. The price of cooking gas was hiked for the second time in a month.

The cost of a 14.2 kg home cylinder has increased by Rs 3.50, while the cost of a 19 kg commercial cylinder has climbed by Rs 8.

LPG price changes are announced by OMCs twice a month, first at the beginning and again in the middle of the month.
