Gujarat Board Exam 2023: GSHSEB Releases Academic Calendar for 2023, Check Exam Dates & Other Details

The academic calendar for the 2022–2023 academic year has been made available by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, or GSHSEB.

Gujarat Board Exam 2023 Dates

According to the calendar, Gujarat board exams in 2023 will be held from March 14 to March 31. The GSHSEB has also stated that the board will stick to the traditional exam format, which goes back before the Covid era.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the syllabus for the last two years' Gujarat board exams was cut by 30 to 35 percent. As of this academic session, the board will provide exams that cover the whole curriculum. This year, there will be 241 days that schools are open, and the first term that started on June 10 will last until October 19, 2022.

On October 20, the start of the 21-day Diwali holiday, schools will be closed. Exams for the first term will start on October 10, 2022. Beginning on November 10 and lasting through April 30, 2023, is the second term. The syllabus taught from June to September will be covered in the first term exam, and the syllabus from June to January will be covered in the second term exam. Exam topics for the second term will include 30% of the material covered from June to September and 70% from October to January.

The preliminary exams for Classes 9th through 12th will be conducted by GSEB from January 27 to February 4, 2023, and the Class 9th scholarship exam will take place on February 7, 2023.

Class 9 and 11 final exams for the Gujarat Board will take place between April 10 and April 21. The following academic year, 2023–24, will start on June 5.
