The Indian postal office will deliver the tricolor to your home for free before Independence Day, August 15, 2022. You can buy flags in three different sizes at the cost of Rs 25, Rs 18, and Rs 9 from the post office.

The residents of India can easily buy these flags from the official epostoffice.gov.in website or by visiting the nearest post office. To facilitate the sales and distribution of flags under Government’s Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, all the Post Offices will remain open on holidays, falling before Independence Day. Special arrangements have been made for the sale of National Flags on public holidays through at least one counter at Post Offices.

What is Har Ghar Tiranga campaign

‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and hoist it to mark the 75th year of India’s independence. The idea behind this initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of people and to promote awareness about our National Flag.

The main celebration will be from August 13 to August 15. The national flag must be folded and kept according to the instructions provided by the Ministry of Culture. The national flag should be preserved properly because it is a representation of national pride.

An essential part of celebrating Independence Day is hoisting the national flag. The Tiranga or tricolor, which stands for the three colors (saffron, white and green), is the name given to the national flag.

The new rule mandates that the national flag be flown throughout the day and night in open areas of the home.

Step 2: Then add the national flag to the cart.

Step 3: Before adding it to the cart, the website will ask for a login.

Step 4: For new users, they need to provide an email id and phone number.

Step 5: And for existing users, the process will be smoother for dispatch of the national flag without facing any errors.
