Harit Sewa Mission Celebrates World Environment Day with M C Dominic, Editor-in-chief of Krishi Jagran as Chief Guest

On the occasion of World Environment Day, Harit Sewa Mission is organizing a program wherein it has invited MC Dominic, Editor-in-Chief of Krishi Jagran and Agriculture World as the chief guest.

Every year on June 5th, World Environment Day is commemorated by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) to raise awareness about deteriorating environmental conditions and to inspire people all over the world to adopt positive environmental measures to help create a brighter future.

In the last century, mankind's progress was accompanied by significant growth in natural resource exploitation. Environmental challenges have only become worse with each passing decade, from climate change and marine pollution to the extinction of flora and fauna.

Celebration of World Environment Day was organized by Harit Sewa Mission and began at 9:00 am, today on 5th June, Sunday 2022 at the Gauri Shankar Mandir, Chandani Chowk, Delhi-110006. The event was sponsored by KPDK Buildtech Pvt Ltd and AM Cool Engineers & Consultants Pvt Ltd.

For this year, M C Dominic, Founder and Editor-in-chief of Krishi Jagran was invited as the chief guest at the Celebration of World Environment Day.

The agenda of the event included:

  • Free distribution of more than 10,000 plants

  • Free consultation regarding plants by Sanjay Srivastava, M.Sc. Agriculture

  • Free consultation and discussion regarding Nachhtra Vatika, Navgrah Vatika, Rashi Vatika by Acharya Santosh Dube.

Krishi Jagran is a publication devoted solely to agriculture. It is available in Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu, Bengali, Assamese, Odia, Tamil, Malayalam, and English, among other Indian regional languages. Agriculture World is the title in English. Mr. M.C Dominic launched the magazine on September 5th, 1996 in New Delhi.

About The Organizer, Harit Sewa Mission:

Shri Ravindra Kumar Gupta created the Harit Sewa Mission as a non-profit organization. The program, which began in 2010, focuses on raising environmental awareness through tree planting and seedling conservation. Harit Sewa Mission's main geographical areas of action include Delhi, Noida, and the NCR region, where it has carried out several initiatives to plant trees on the roadside, inside corporate premises, residential areas, and so on.

Harit Sewa Mission provides fruit yielding tree and floral plant seedlings in particular so that they be cared for long after they are planted. During key cultural events and religious festivals, the group distributes saplings to raise environmental awareness.
