IARI Announces Paid Internship for Students - Apply Now

The Division of Entomology at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) in Pusa, New Delhi, is offering a paid student internship for a duration of two months. This opportunity is part of a DST-SERB funded project titled "Taxonomic Studies of Family Elateridae from North Eastern India (Coleoptera: Elateridae)." Applications are invited from students who meet the essential and desired qualifications.

Internship Details

  • Number of Positions: One

  • Duration: Two months

  • Stipend: Rs. 5000/- per month (as per DST-SERB norms)

The project focuses on taxonomic studies of the Elateridae family, specifically from North Eastern India. The internship offers a fixed monthly emolument of Rs. 5000, following DST-SERB norms. Applicants should be pursuing a postgraduate degree in Entomology, Zoology, or Life Sciences. Additionally, candidates with research experience in handling insects, taxonomy, molecular biology tools, or data analysis are preferred.

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email and will be required to attend an online interview. Therefore, applicants must ensure they provide an active email ID in their application. Selected candidates will need to provide a No Objection Certificate from their current institute to participate in lab activities for the two-month internship period.
