ICAR-IARI Announces Recruitment for Junior Research Fellow and Field Workers

The ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-IARI) has released a new recruitment notification for the positions of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Field Worker/Helper under a DST funded Project titled "North India Centre for Water Technology Research in Agriculture." The recruitment will be conducted through a walk-in-interview at the Water Technology Centre, ICAR-IARI in New Delhi.

  • Junior Research Fellow (JRF)- 1 Post

  • Field Workers/Helpers- 2 Post

Important Dates and Application Process

Interested candidates who meet the specified qualifications are required to send their bio-data/CV in the prescribed format to khajanchidst@gmail.com by 30th April 2024. The detailed advertisement can be viewed or downloaded from the IARI website at www.iari.res.in.

Eligible candidates should appear for the interview on 07th May 2024 at 10:00 AM with their complete bio-data in the application format. The reporting time for certificate verification is 09:30 AM, and candidates must bring their original certificates.

Position Details and Emoluments

Junior Research Fellow (JRF):

Emoluments: Rs. 37,000 per month + House Rent Allowance (HRA)

Essential Qualification:

  • M.Sc/M.Tech. in Soil Science, Agricultural Engineering with specialization in Soil & Water Conservation Engineering, Irrigation & Drainage Engineering, Land and Water Management Engineering, or Water Conservation Engineering.

  • Candidates with a 3-year Bachelor’s degree and 2-year Master’s degree should have qualified UGC/CSIR/ICAR-NET/GATE or hold a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.

Desirable Skills:

  • Proficiency in soil, water, wastewater, and plant analysis.

  • Experience in remote sensing, GIS, modeling, and computer applications for data analysis.

Field Worker/Helper:

  • Emoluments: Rs. 18,000 per month + House Rent Allowance (HRA)

  • Essential Qualification: Graduation in any discipline.

Desirable Skills:

  • One-year experience in field and lab analysis work.

Terms & Conditions

  • Age Limit: Maximum 35 years (with age relaxation for SC/ST & women by five years and for OBC by three years).

  • The advertised positions are temporary and contractual appointments, lasting until 10th September 2024 or the project's termination, whichever is earlier.

  • Appointments may be terminated at any time without prior notice or reason. JRF and Field Worker/Helper may also leave the assignment by providing one month's notice.

  • Renewal of the contract is subject to satisfactory performance.

  • The selected candidates may be stationed at project sites/IARI, New Delhi, with possible travel across India as needed.
