IIM Kashipur's FIED to Host 'Agri Entrepreneurship in South Asia' Consortium 2023

This event, titled the 'Agriculture Consortium of Higher Education and Research Institutions,' will span two informative days, taking place on September 25th and 26th, 2023, right at the heart of the IIM Kashipur campus in Kashipur, Uttarakhand.

The gathering will play host to esteemed participants from Agriculture Universities and Research Institutions spanning the length and breadth of India. The central theme of the Agri Consortium is to champion agri-entrepreneurship as a vital catalyst for India's economic growth. It aims to shine a spotlight on agriculture startups, explore the pivotal role played by higher academic and research institutions in South Asian economies, and assess government initiatives in this realm.

Over the course of these two days, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in enlightening panel discussions and expert talks, delving deep into the promotion of agriculture within higher education institutions. The Agri Consortium aspires to ignite innovation, foster knowledge exchange, and facilitate collaboration among the foremost agri entrepreneurs, researchers, and educational institutions.

Agri Consortium 2023 represents a significant milestone in the ongoing journey to nurture sustainable agricultural entrepreneurship and harness the potential of agri startups to fuel economic development in India and the wider South Asian region. In addition to representatives from Indian Agriculture Universities and Research Institutions, the event will also welcome participants from Agri-Business Incubation centers and knowledge partners operating under the aegis of the RKVY RAFTAAR Scheme, supported by the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India. These stakeholders will share their experiences, insights, and challenges in the realm of promoting agri entrepreneurship.

The Foundation for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (FIED) serves as the incubation center of IIM Kashipur, with a resolute mission to nurture and fortify India's entrepreneurship ecosystem. Housed within the sprawling IIM Kashipur campus, FIED boasts a dedicated space spanning 20,000 square feet.

FIED's purview encompasses the incubation of India's most promising startups across a diverse spectrum, including agriculture, education, healthcare, logistics & supply chain, green energy, waste management, tourism and hospitality, social entrepreneurship, and sustainable development goals.
