IMD Paints Gujarat and MP Orange! Heavy Rainfall, Thunderstorm Predicted in These States
IMD said that no notable change in maximum temperature over the nation is extremely expected to occur over the course of the next five days.
On Sunday, July 24, 2022, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a severe to very heavy rainfall warning for the ensuing two to three days for many states. The monsoon trough flows south of its typical position at mean sea level, according to the most recent weather bulletin from IMD.
Over the following two to three days, it is likely to remain in the same place. The weather service continued, "A cyclonic circulation sits across interior Odisha & adjacent Chhattisgarh in lower & middle tropospheric levels tilting south-westward with height."
IMD added that no notable change in maximum temperature over the nation is extremely expected to occur over the course of the next five days.
IMD rainfall predictions:
- Isolated heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning are extremely likely to occur over Konkan & Goa on July 25, the Gujarat Region on July 25, 26, Saurashtra & Kutch on July 25, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam on July 25 - 28, and over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal on July 26 & 27.
- Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is predicted to occur on July 25, as well as heavy rainfall over Telangana from July 26 to 28.

- Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls and thunderstorms/lightning is very likely over Jammu & Kashmir on July 25, Himachal Pradesh & Uttarakhand on July 25–28, and scattered to fairly widespread rainfall over Punjab & Haryana–Chandigarh on July 26, Uttar Pradesh on July 27–28, West Rajasthan on July 24–26, and East Rajasthan on July 25–27.
- Over the next 5 days, it is quite possible that Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, and Madhya Pradesh will have extensive rains and thunderstorms with lightning. On July 25, 2022, West Madhya Pradesh is quite likely to get a single, extremely strong downpour. Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, and East Madhya Pradesh will likely have isolated heavy rainfall today, while West Madhya Pradesh will likely experience it on July 25 and 26.
- There is a strong probability of widespread rainfall on July 25 in Odisha, Jharkhand, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands; in West Bengal & Sikkim; and in Bihar throughout the next five days.

- Moderate to heavy rainfall will likely occur over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya as well as Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura over the next five days.
In the meantime, several districts of Tamil Nadu are predicted to experience heavy rainfall for some time. 23 districts have received a warning from the regional meteorological center (RMC) for today. A warning warned that "heavy rain is predicted in the districts of Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Theni, Dindigul, Erode, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Tirupattur, Salem, Kallakurichi, Karur, Namakkal, Tiruchirapalli, Perambalur, Madurai, Sivaganga, Virudhunagar, Thenkasi, Ramanathapuram
