IITF 2022: India International Trade Fair Opens For Public Today
India International Trade Fair is back in its original form after Covid-19. With the theme 'Vocal for Local, Local to Global', this year the grand event has over 2,500 exhibitors from 29 states, UTs, and 14 countries.
Yes, the much-awaited trade fair is back with a bang with the theme - "Vocal for Local, Local to Global". The event began on November 14 and will last till November 27. However, for the general public, it will start on November 19.
The products of almost 2,500 domestic and international exhibitors, including those from the UK and the UAE, will be put on display this year. According to the India Trade Promotion Organization, this year's Partner States are Bihar, Jharkhand, and Maharashtra, while the Focus States are Uttar Pradesh and Kerala.
Leh-Ladakh will be participating for the first time.
According to media sources, a statement was issued by the India Trade Promotion Organization which said, “IITF gives a great venue to exhibit Indian products as part of the "Vocal for Local" campaign, and instills newfound confidence and vitality into the Indian economy.
The fair will have participation from 12 nations, including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Belarus, Iran, Nepal, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, and the UK.
The achievements of their respective sectors will also be displayed by central ministries, commodities boards, and state-owned organizations including the KVIC, Department of Income Tax, customs, Ministry of Ayush, National Jute Board, and the RBI.
On November 14, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal officially opened the expo.

Trade fair 2022: Entry Hours
The fair is open from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM from November 14 through November 26, and from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on November 27.
At the event this year, about 10,000 attendees are expected.
Trade fair 2022: Entry Fees
There are 67 Delhi Metro stations where you may get tickets for IITF 2022. Additionally, the Pragati Maidan gates 4 and 10 will sell tickets. From Paytm Insider, citizens can also purchase tickets online.
Free Entry For School Students
School kids up to Class 12 are permitted free access only during the weekdays at the event; however, they must bring a note from the principal of their school with letterhead. There should be enough teachers to accompany the children. Students should be dressed in school attire.
Weekends and holidays: Rs 150 for adults and Rs 60 for kids per ticket.
On weekdays, adult tickets cost Rs 80, while kid tickets cost Rs 40.
