Workshop on Mainstreaming of Gender in AIF & MP Farm Gate App Held in Bhopal
The primary goal of workshop was to increase women's participation in the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) and M.P. Farm Gate.
A one-day workshop on the Madhya Pradesh Farm Gate App and Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) was held today at Noronha Administrative Academy, Bhopal, in honor of India's G-20 presidency under the theme "One Earth, One Family, One Future," with the goal of encouraging a sense of global unity and boosting the participation of women in agriculture. The main goal of this workshop was to increase the representation of women in the M.P. Farm Gate and Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF).
In her address, G.V. Rashmi, Managing Director, Mandi Board, discussed the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) in Madhya Pradesh, as well as the features of the MP Farm Gate App developed by the Mandi Board.
In his video message, Madhya Pradesh Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel expressed his appreciation for the AIF scheme and the MP Farm Gate App.
Samuel P. Kumar, Joint Secretary (Agriculture Extension and Agriculture Infrastructure Fund), Government of India mentioned in his speech that Madhya Pradesh has received significant publicity regarding the AIF scheme, which has so far seen the establishment of 2,753 projects by women entrepreneurs who have benefited greatly from it. When compared to other states, Madhya Pradesh is first in the AIF scheme's outreach. He provided full information on the plan.
Ashok Varnwal, Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, stressed the significance of MP Farm Gate app while taking part in the session. He claimed that the app made it simple for farmers to sell their produce there and receive a fair price for their harvests.
In terms of the reach of the AIF scheme, Madhya Pradesh ranks first among the states. He went into great detail about the scheme. Ashok Varnwal, Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, highlighted the importance of the MP Farm Gate app while participating in the workshop. He stated that the app made it easy for farmers to sell their produce on the app and receive a fair price for it.
The workshop drew approximately 200 people. The Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) scheme was introduced to workshop participants. Experts from the Agriculture Department, NABARD, Horticulture, APEDA, banks, and other organizations provided information. During the workshop's question-and-answer session, participants' concerns were addressed.
Women farmers, agricultural entrepreneurs, businessmen, and others were also informed about the MP Farm Gate App. D.K. Nagendra, Additional Director of Madhya Pradesh State Agricultural Marketing Board, delivered the Vote of Thanks at the end of the workshop.
