IPL Biologicals Ltd & Uzkimyosanoat: Revolutionizing Agri With Bio-Products

IPL Biologicals Limited has partnered with Uzkimyosanoat to improve the marketing, distribution, and production of agri-biologics (microbial) products in Uzbekistan. These products, including bio-pesticides, bio-fungicides, and bio-fertilizers, offer more effective and eco-friendly agricultural options, reducing the use of harmful chemicals. In this joint venture, IPL Biologicals Ltd and Uzkimyosanoat will hold ownership shares of 51% and 49% respectively, with a project cost exceeding $25 million.

Building upon successful field trials, the Ministries of Agriculture of Uzbekistan and the United States have decided to partner with IPL to introduce these products to benefit local farmers. IPL Biologicals Limited has applied for the registration of 11 bio-products after successful field tests and lab evaluations, with more than 25 products planned for registration in Uzbekistan. These products span bio-fertilizers, bio-pesticides, and bio-fungicides for various crops. The agreement was signed on May 30, 2023, at the US office in Tashkent, with representatives from both sides signing.

Harsh Bhagchandka, President of IPL Biologicals Limited, expressed enthusiasm about this partnership, highlighting the shift from harmful chemicals to innovative bio-solutions, which prioritize crop health and environmental benefits. The collaboration signifies IPL's commitment to sustainable agriculture, aiming to positively impact Uzbekistan's farming community.

Timur Mukhamadjonov, Chairman of Uzkimyosanoat Joint Stock Company, highlighted that the partnership with IPL Biologicals Ltd resonates with their mission of modernizing Uzbekistan's agriculture. This collaboration emphasizes their commitment to sustainable practices via modern bio-inputs, boosting productivity and reducing chemical reliance. This venture promises a stable agricultural future for Uzbekistan. Benefiting local farmers, particularly cotton growers, with Ministry of Agriculture and distributor backing, it enhances yield and quality. These bioproducts will also expand to neighboring CIS countries through this initiative.
