At Meta's second edition of the Fuel for India event on 15th December (Wednesday), Ambani's twin children, Akash and Isha, gave a sneak peek at the ordering process.
Order Groceries through WhatsApp
Users can now order groceries using WhatsApp's new 'touch and chat' feature. There is no minimum order value and delivery is free. Customers can add items to their shopping carts in the app and pay using JioMart or cash on delivery.
"The JioMart experience via WhatsApp is, to put it bluntly, 'conversational' in character. Because WhatsApp is so simple and straightforward to use, customers have no qualms about ordering supplies "Akash stated.
There are no technical limitations because it is incredibly intuitive. "And digital shopping is now merely an extension of texting to JioMart via WhatsApp; everything is taken care of in a few simple clicks. Lookup a product, set up a subscription for a regular buy if that's what you want, or get personalized recommendations based on your past purchase history," Isha said.
Payment Option in WhatsApp Makes Lives Easier
According to Akash, the end-to-end experience for Recharge via WhatsApp, as well as the option to make payments, has the potential to make the lives of millions of Jio members considerably easier. JioMart delivers everything from fruits and vegetables to cereal, toothpaste, and cooking essentials like paneer and chickpea flour, all of which can be ordered over WhatsApp.
The collaboration with Meta allowed us to swiftly tap into the power of WhatsApp's platform, which has over 400 million users.
"We're still ecstatic about our partnership with Meta, and together with the WhatsApp team, we plan to build native features that will not only help users shop seamlessly on WhatsApp, but will also help retailers increase stock assortments, improve margins, and reach out to a potentially larger base of customers than ever before," said Akash.
