Krishi Jagran to Host Krishi Sanyantra, a Three-Day Event for Farmers, Agri Professionals in Odisha

Krishi Jagran is set to host Krishi Sanyantra, a three-day event at Kuruda Field in Balasore, Odisha from March 25 to  27, 2023. The event promises to bring together farmers, agriculture professionals, and government officials to discuss the latest trends and innovations in the farming industry.

Objective of Krishi Sanyantra

Krishi Sanyantra Mela aims to enhance the capability of the farmers in making the agriculture industry of Odisha self-reliant. The event will kick off with a grand inaugural function on March 25, which will feature speeches from several prominent figures in Indian agriculture, including Narendra Singh Tomar, Minister of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare GOI, Parshottam Rupala, Minister of State for Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries of India and Pratap Chandra Sarangi, Member of Parliament.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in business exhibitions, media interaction, farmer facilitation, and cultural events.

Throughout the event, attendees can attend a range of seminars and sessions focused on topics such as quality production, enhancing the accessibility to the market, new technologies in agriculture, and the role of government in supporting farmers. The event also aims to provide a platform for farmers to share their experiences and challenges, and to connect with other professionals in the industry.

The mela will be attended by a number of agricultural scientists, engineers, and technocrats to hold discussions on various topics in favour of the agricultural community. The event is particularly significant given the challenges faced by the farmer community in Odisha.
