Krishi Sanyantra Mela 2023 Kickstarts with Union Ministers' Presence and Praise for Krishi Jagran's Initiatives

The Krishi Sanyantra Mela 2023 kickstarts today at the Karuda Field in Balasore, Odisha in the presence of Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Production Parshottam Rupala, MP of Balasore, Pratap Chandra Sarangi, Deputy General Manager of SBI (LHO), Dhruva Charan Bala, while Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Narendra Singh Tomar delivered his speech via a video message.

The Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Narendra Singh Tomar, delivered his speech via a video message and praised Krishi Jagran for organizing the mela. He congratulated the conference on behalf of the Indian Government and expressed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dedication to the farmers' interests in the country.

He highlighted the various schemes introduced by the government, including PM Kisan Yojana, which has already benefited 11.5 crore farmers across the country. Tomar emphasized that the farmers in Orissa are also availing the benefits of this scheme and improving their economic condition. Furthermore, he acknowledged that farmers will benefit from the Krishi Sanyantra Mela by modernizing and advancing their farming techniques. He suggested the need for farmer journalists (a Krishi Jagran initiative) in every village in India.

During the conference, Parshottam Rupala praised MC Dominic, the founder of Krishi Jagran, and the farmers of Odisha. Rupala acknowledged that 1200 farmers have reported better results in farming and animal husbandry with the help of Krishi Jagran's ‘Farmer the Journalist’ initiative. He highlighted that Krishi Jagran's dedication toward farmers is commendable and essential for the country's bright future.

Rupala emphasized the need for a 'farmer journalist' in every village in India, as well. He also highlighted the government's commitment to developing the western and eastern parts of India. Rupala said that the government aims to provide benefits to farmers in all policies, and Krishi Jagran is playing a significant role in this effort.

The event was appreciated by many, including Sarangi, who congratulated and appreciated Krishi Jagran's initiative in organizing the fair. Sarangi expressed his gratitude towards the farmers of Balasore and extended his support towards their agricultural endeavors. He emphasized that the mela would provide significant help to the farmers, leading to an increase in their income. He also advised the farmers to adopt natural farming techniques and use vermicompost in their fields. Moreover, he encouraged the farmers to join more such events to enhance their knowledge and skills.

MC Dominic, the Founder, and Editor-in-Chief of Krishi Jagran, also shared his thoughts on the importance of innovation in agriculture and the need for farmers to be open to new ideas and technologies.

Day 1 of the event is a great success, and it is hoped that it will inspire farmers to adopt new techniques and technologies and improve their yields.
