Lalit Gandhi, Elected as FICCI's Director; To Represent Maharashtra for Next 3 Years

Entrepreneur Lalit Gandhi, who resides in Kolhapur in Maharashtra, has nabbed the re-election to the executive committee of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FICCI), the nation's top trade association.

At present, the Maharashtra Chambers of Commerce, Industries, and Agriculture is led by the latter. For the ensuing three years, Gandhi will now represent the state of Maharashtra at FICCI.

According to FICCI's official website, it is the largest and first premier business organization in India. Founded in 1927, Its history is intricately entwined with India's fight for independence, industrialization, and emergence as one of the world economies with the fastest growth rates.

FICCI is a non-profit, non-government organization that represents businesses and industries in India. It expresses the opinions and concerns of businesses by engaging with policymakers, influencing policy, fostering debate, and engaging with civil society.

With the help of numerous regional chambers of commerce and industry from various states, it serves its members from the Indian private and public corporate sectors as well as multinational corporations, reaching out to over 2,50,000 businesses.

Further, FICCI is the first stop for Indian businesses, policymakers, and the global business community. It offers a venue for networking and consensus building inside and across sectors.

Top industrialists from around the nation, CEOs of multinational firms, public sector organizations, financial institutions, banks, and management professionals make up the FICCI National Executive Committee. The Executive Committee meets occasionally in various regions to discuss issues unique to those regions and to the country.

Subhrakant Panda is serving as the current president of FICCI, while Dr. Anish Shah is the senior vice president, and Harsh Vardhan Agarwal is the vice president.
