Latest Weather Report: Heavy Rainfall in these Southern and North-Eastern States; North to Remain Dry
Starting with Northern India, a cyclonic circulation is lying over eastern parts of Jammu & Kashmir and another circulation is over Central Pakistan. Hence there could be light rainfall in Jammu & Kashmir as well as Himachal Pradesh. Isolated dust storm may take place in several parts of Rajasthan. On the other hand, weather in Delhi, Punjab and Haryana will remain dry.

On the other hand, weather in Delhi, Punjab and Haryana will remain dry.
Coming towards, East or Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation can be seen over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim. Also a trough is extending from this circulation to Andhra Pradesh across Odisha and West Bengal. Therefore moderate to heavy rainfall is expected over Sub-Himalayan Sikkim and West Bengal. In fact, there will be light to moderate showers with little heavy spells over the northeastern states as well as Odisha. Meghalaya, Assam, West Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur and Tripura will also experience a wet day. In the meantime, light rains are also expected over Jharkhand and Northeast Bihar. Bihar will have little relief from the ongoing heat wave condition in the state.
In central part of the country, a cyclonic circulation is lying over North Madhya Pradesh that will bring scattered rainfall over several parts of Madhya Pradesh. South Chhattisgarh will continue to get moderate rains. East Madhya Pradesh & Vidarbha may also receive isolated rains. However, rainfall in Konkan and Goa including Mumbai will decrease.
Finally talking about South India, an offshore trough is extending from the Coastal Karnataka to Kerala. As a result, light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells would continue over Kerala and Coastal Karnataka. North Coastal Andhra Pradesh could also experience good rains. There are chances of isolated rains in parts of Telangana, Rayalaseema & Tamil Nadu.
According to IMD, heat wave conditions are likely to continue over isolated parts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Vidarbha and few areas of coastal Andhra Pradesh.
