Gas cylinder costs are continuously rising creating problems for the common man. According to data from the last two years, LPG prices have increased like never before, but now the Central Government has made an important decision for the citizens.

Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited distribute gas but these firms are experiencing losses as a result of the continuous rising prices over the past two years.

To give them relief from expensive LPG, a cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of PM Modi. In this meeting, it was decided to provide government oil companies with a one-time grant worth Rs 22,000 crore. With this, not only these oil companies will get help, but the general public will also be relieved from expensive LPG.

According to I&B Minister, Anurag Thakur, it has been decided to offer financial support in order to ease the financial pressure on the companies. Gas prices have increased by Rs 459 during the course of the past two years or since October 2020.
