Lahar-2024 Festival Celebrated at Rajasthan Agriculture University's College of Fisheries

The annual festival Lahar-2024 at the College of Fisheries, MPUAT featured a variety of cultural competitions and events, encouraging student participation and showcasing talents.

The annual festival Lahar-2024 was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the College of Fisheries, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology. The program commenced with a morning inauguration by Dr. R.A. Kaushik, Principal of the College of Fisheries, Associate Professor Dr. M.L. Ojha, and Assistant Professor Dr. Suman Takkar, followed by various cultural competitions throughout the day, including Rangoli competition won by Kavya, Poster competition by Khushi Rao, solo singing by Sourabh Nogiya, solo dance by Riya Vaishnav, duet singing by Keshav and Sourabh, duet dance by Sourabh and Sunita, and group dance by Kulisha and the first-place-winning group.

In the evening cultural program, the Chairman of the College, Dr. R.A. Kaushik, presided over the event, with esteemed guests including Chancellor Prof. Ajit Kumar Karnataka, and distinguished guest Dr. B.D. Kumawat from Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, and the Secretary of the University were present.

Dr. R.A. Kaushik welcomed all guests and presented the annual report on the college's activities. Dr. B.D. Kumawat, a special guest, praised the program organized by students and commended the cultural presentations by the students. Chancellor Prof. Ajit Kumar Karnataka, in his address, encouraged students to capitalize on the abundant opportunities in the field of fisheries and to brighten the name of the university and college.

He highlighted that holistic development of students is possible through both academic and extracurricular activities. During the program, Dr. M.K. Mahla, Student Welfare Officer of the University, Dr. Vimal Sharma, former Principal of the College, Dr. B.K. Sharma, Dr. A.K. Gupta, Dr. H.K. Vardia, Som Shekhar Vyas, V.P. Sharma, and retired and active officials and employees of the college participated.

Students of the college presented colorful cultural performances during the program, and Dr. M.L. Ojha, the college's sports in-charge, awarded certificates and mementos to students who participated in various educational, cultural, and sports competitions throughout the year.

The successful execution of this program was greatly supported by students like Lakshya Kirodiwal, Sourabh Meena, Krishna Kumhar, Sourabh Nogiya, Rishikant, Adil Mirza, Dilkhush, Keshav, Kuldeep, and others who played important roles. Khushi Rao and Abhishek Singodia managed the program, and Dr. Suman Takkar extended thanks.
