World Biofuel Day is observed every year on August 10 with the motive to create awareness about the importance of non-fossil fuels as an alternative to conventional fossil fuels.

On this day, various programs are organized to highlight the efforts made by the Central Government in the biofuel sector.  Besides this, the small and large industries are recognized for their tireless efforts, allowing them to continue working in this direction with greater strength and integrity.

On World Biofuel Day 2022, Meera Clean Fuels (MCL) will host an International Biofuels Conference at 10 p.m. at the Sahara Hotel in Vile Parle, Mumbai.

Meera Clean Fuel has been working in this sector since 2012. The company aims at making India self-sufficient in terms of fuel and for that it is working hard to provide a common business creation platform for all its stakeholders in the bioenergy vertical.

Along with biofuels, Meera Clean Fuels is working on a number of other projects. It believes that one of the major causes of pollution and global warming is fossil fuels.

Hence the company is trying to replace fossil fuels with biofuels. According to MCL officials, citing data, India imports 82% of its fuel from other countries each year, with a total expenditure of about 8 lakh crores.

In such a case, our goal is to make India self-sufficient in the field of fuel. In this regard, Meera Clean Fuels wishes to raise awareness on August 10th, not only in India but throughout the world, as to why we need to celebrate World Biofuel Day.

Besides this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a video call today to dedicate the nation's 2nd generation (2G) ethanol plant in Panipat, Haryana. This is consistent with the prime minister's ongoing efforts to improve the energy sector's accessibility, affordability, efficiency, and sustainability.
