MFOI Samridh Kisan Utsav in Khanna, Punjab: A Day of Agricultural Innovation and Recognition

Krishi Jagran successfully hosted the 'MFOI Samridh Kisan Utsav' on July 2, 2024, at Pratap Palace in Khanna, Ludhiana, Panjab, providing a vital platform for the agricultural community. Sponsored by Mahindra Tractors and themed 'Maximizing Farmers' Income for a Prosperous Bharat,' the event aimed to enrich the agricultural sector with the latest practices and innovations. The event was powered by GSP Crop Science and supported by Somani Seedz and Verka, with ICAR as the esteemed knowledge partner. Additional support came from Punjab Agri Export Corporation Ltd and Verka-Punjab.

The event saw the participation of around 100 farmers and industry experts who gathered to discuss essential topics such as organic farming and horticulture. The day began with participant registration and was graced by notable guests including Dr. Ajeet Pal Singh, Assistant Deputy Director of Horticulture; Manpreet Singh, Sales Officer at Somani Seeds; Vikash Antil, Marketing Head at GSP Crop Science; Manpreet Singh, a progressive farmer from Dheri; and Harindar Singh, District Manager at Verka. These experts shared invaluable insights on enhancing farm income and celebrated the achievements of progressive farmers in the region.

A significant highlight of the event was the distribution of certificates to progressive farmers by the guests, recognizing their contributions and successes in agriculture. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, marking a successful effort to empower the farming community and promote sustainable agricultural practices. Participants gained knowledge about new agricultural techniques and exchanged ideas with their peers.

The introduction of the Millionaire Farmer of India (MFOI) award initiative by Krishi Jagran was a notable feature of the event. Farmers also visited Mahindra Tractors stalls to gather comprehensive information about the latest tractor models on display, underscoring Mahindra's commitment to supporting agricultural development.
