Krishi Jagran on Tuesday organised the Millionaire Farmer of India sponsored by Mahindra Tractors facilitation ceremony in Kota, Rajasthan.
The district-level farmers were facilitated by the Founder and editor-in-chief of Krishi Jagran, MC Dominic, and other panelists including, Dr Mahendra Singh, Senior Scientist, and Head, KVK, Kota, Anandi Lal Meena, Deputy Director (Horticulture), Kota.
Moreover, a panel discussion was conducted on 'disease and pest management in rabi crops, cultivation of millet, and maintenance of tractor'. An amazing footfall of farmers was witnessed at the agriculture event, while brands like VNR Nursery Private Limited from Raipur, Chhattisgarh, and Mahindra Tractors participated in the exhibition.
Krishi Jagran has started the concept of the Millionaire Farmer of India Awards to recognise the talent of farmers and celebrate their success. "We have an icon of sports, entertainment, and other industries, but there is no such figure in agriculture, why is it so?" asks Mr Dominic, who himself is the son of farmers, and started a media agency to bring farmers' point of view in the mainstream media.
"We used to cultivate coconut back in our village and I remember, in our childhood, there was a competition amongst the fellow farmers," he said.
"Krishi Jagran has applauded successful farmers at MFOI, 2023, and called them VVIF i.e. Very Very Important Farmers. Union Minister Parshottam Rupala presented the trophy of the Millionaire Farmer of India Award sponsored by Mahindra Tractors to the winner, while Brazilian Government gifted a free seven-day trip to Brazil. It is evident to see that this agricultural revolution is gaining global traction," he said.the
