Milkfed Recruits 31 Graduates

Milkfed more popularly known with its brand name ‘Verka’ is the cooperative establishment in Punjab, to cater to the milk and milk product needs of the public as well as assured market to the milk producers. To strengthen the technical man power for animal health, milk production, procurement and quality assurance, Milkfed conducted campus recruitment at GADVASU Campus to select the management trainees. Milkfed, Punjab has recruited 31 dairy and veterinary students of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and  Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana as Assistant Manager (Management Trainees) in Procurement, Production, Quality Assurance and Animal Husbandry. This information was revealed by Dr. Amarjit Singh Placement-cum-Liaison Officer of Vet Varsity. He said that this appointment will be for a period of two years and after the completion of 2nd year, they will be evaluated for placing in regular pay scale. 

Dr. Parkash Singh, Brar, Dean, Veterinary Science College  informed that this university is now center of excellence for veterinary education. Our graduates are well equipped to meet the challenges of industry and future scenario. Dr. Anil Kumar Puniya, Dean College of Dairy Science & Technology said that we are committed to produce quality human resource for dairy sector through its various degree programmes, develop new technologies, and conduct training programmes for dairy farmers and entrepreneurs. 

Dr. Amarjit Singh Nanda, Vice-Chancellor GADVASU revealed that university in a short span of time has made significant achievements in all the diverse aspects of veterinary, dairy and fishery sciences with a focus on nutritional safety, food security and socio-economic development of masses. He congratulated all the selected students of the veterinary varsity and advised them to perform their duties with dedication, sincerity and honesty.
