The scheme aims to financially safeguard farmers against livestock losses, with the government covering 100% of the insurance premium.

The implementation of the scheme is overseen by two key agencies. The State Insurance and Provident Fund Department is responsible for executing the scheme, ensuring its seamless operation and delivery. Meanwhile, the Animal Husbandry Department serves as the nodal department, coordinating efforts and providing necessary support for the program's success.

Objective of the Scheme

The primary goals of the Mukhyamantri Mangla Pashu Bima Yojana include:

1. Financial Security: Protect farmers against economic losses from livestock deaths.

2. Encouragement of Livestock Farming: Boost confidence among farmers to invest in and care for their animals.

Coverage under the Scheme

The scheme ensures free insurance coverage for a total of 21 lakh animals, including 5 lakh cows, 5 lakh buffaloes, 5 lakh goats, 5 lakh sheep, and 1 lakh camels. Each eligible farmer can insure a maximum of 2 milch animals (cows or buffaloes), 10 goats, 10 sheep, or 1 camel under the scheme. This comprehensive coverage aims to provide financial security for livestock farmers across Rajasthan.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the scheme, farmers must meet the following conditions:

1. Be a resident of Rajasthan.

2. Holders of Gopal Credit Cards, Lakhpati Didi Cards, or be selected via a lottery system.

3. Possess an active Jan Aadhaar Card.

 Benefits of the Scheme

• 100% Premium Payment by the Government: Farmers do not need to pay anything for the insurance.

• Compensation for Livestock Loss: Farmers receive the insured value of their animals in case of death.

• Free Registration: The process is completely cost-free for eligible farmers.

Farmers need the following documents:

1. Jan Aadhaar Card.

2. Photo of the Farmer with the Animal(s).

3. Tag Numbers of the Animals.

4. Mobile Number Linked to Aadhaar.

5. Caste Certificate (if applicable).

6. Gopal Credit Card or Lakhpati Didi Card (if applicable).

How to Apply for Mukhyamantri Mangla Pashu Bima Yojana

Farmers can register using the MMPBY mobile app or the official web portal at mmpby.rajasthan.gov.in.

Application Process:

1. Applications are open from December 13, 2024, to January 12, 2025.

2. Farmers need to upload the required documents and register online.

3. Beneficiaries will be selected through a lottery system.
