Netaji Subhas-ICAR International Fellowships for 2023-24

Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has announced the commencement of applications for the Netaji Subhas-ICAR International Fellowships (NS-ICARIFs) for the academic year 2023-24. This prestigious fellowship program targets both Indian nationals and overseas candidates possessing a Master’s degree in Agriculture and allied sciences. The primary objective of the fellowship is to support individuals pursuing a doctoral degree in agriculture and allied sciences, focusing on identified priority areas.

Eligibility Criteria

The fellowship is open to Indian candidates aiming to pursue their doctoral studies abroad in recognized overseas universities or institutions. Additionally, overseas candidates are encouraged to apply, with opportunities to study in the distinguished Indian Agricultural Universities (AUs) within the ICAR-AUs system, renowned for their robust research and teaching capabilities.

Scope and Duration

A total of thirty fellowships, each spanning three years, will be awarded to deserving candidates. The fellowship provides a platform for scholars to engage in advanced research and academic pursuits in agriculture and allied sciences.

Application Process and Last Date to Apply

Interested candidates are required to submit their applications online through the ICAR Education portal. Detailed guidelines, including priority areas of study, can be accessed on the official portal: ICAR Education Portal. It is important to note that hard copies or applications sent via email will not be entertained. The deadline for online submission of applications is March 15, 2024, by 17:00 hrs.
