Parshottam Rupala Inaugurates Progressive Agri Leadership Summit 2021

Krishi Udyami Krishak Vikas Chamber, in collaboration with the Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry (UHF), Nauni, and the Sikkim State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Ltd, hosted the Progressive Agriculture Leadership Summit-2021 today at the university.

Krishi Udyami Krishak Vikas Chamber, in collaboration with the Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry (UHF), Nauni, and the Sikkim State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Ltd, hosted the Progressive Agriculture Leadership Summit-2021 today at the university.

The chief guest Parshottam Rupala, Union Minister for Fisheries and Animal Husbandry inaugurates the summit. The guests of honor Virender Kanwar, state Minister for Agriculture, JP Dalal, Haryana Agriculture Minister, and Randeep Singh Nabha, Punjab Agriculture Minister were also present there.

In addition, Vice-Chancellors from four universities, including the host university's Dr Parvinder Kaushal and those from Hisar, Jammu, and Bareilly, as well as representatives from the agri-industry and policymakers from the agriculture and fisheries departments of Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh participated in the event.

Before the award ceremony, the Krishi Jagran Team, led by its Founder & Editor-in-Chief, MC Dominic, met with many progressive farmers, Vice Chancellors of Agri universities, and Industry Leaders.

The Krishi Udyami Krishak Ratan Puraskar was given to states, progressive farmers and villages, states, educational organizations, corporates from the agriculture and allied sectors, Farmer Producer Organizations, and others to recognize and motivate the efforts of various stakeholders in the northern states who are working tirelessly and continuously to achieve sustainable agriculture development.

Objectives of Summit:

This summit has provided a forum for states to share flagship programmes and relevant policy initiatives aimed at creating an optimal remunerative value chain for farmers and their well-being.

The summit's goal is to discuss the opportunities available in Peri agriculture, as well as the various initiatives undertaken by the government to promote it.

Globally recognized marketing practices/strategies, as well as the most recent technological innovation for the promotion of peri-urban agriculture, will be shared, along with success stories from FPOs and agripreneurs, to inspire and identify the hand holding stages.

This summit has provided a forum for states to share flagship programmes and relevant policy initiatives aimed at creating an optimal remunerative value chain for farmers and their well-being.
