PM Modi Inaugurates Third UP Investors Summit, Launches 1,406 Projects Worth ₹ 80,000 Crore

PM Modi Inaugurates Third UP Investors Summit, Launches 1,406 Projects Worth ₹ 80,000 Crore

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the ground-breaking ceremony of the 3rd Uttar Pradesh Investors Summit and laid the foundation stone of over 1,406 projects worth over Rs. 8,000 crore today.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in a tweet on Friday morning said, "Under the leadership of respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, 'New India of New Uttar Pradesh' has emerged as the best investment destination in the country. The investor enthusiasm for Ground Breaking Ceremony 3.0 is direct evidence of this. This ceremony will give wings to the aspirations of 'New Uttar Pradesh.'

According to reports, the projects were in various fields, including agriculture, MSME, manufacturing, renewable energy, IT and Electronics, pharma, tourism, defence & aerospace, handloom and textile.

Kumar Mangalam Birla, Gautam Adani, and many other leading industrialists took part in the mega summit organized by the Uttar Pradesh government.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Defence minister Rajnath Singh will also attend the event.

The 1st Uttar Pradesh Investors Summit was held on 29th July 2018, and the 2nd took place on 28th July 2019.

During the 1st summit, the foundation stone of 81 projects worth more than Rs. 61,500 crore was laid and during the 2nd summit, the foundation stone of 290 projects with investments of around rs. 67,000 crore was laid.

PM Modi and President Ram Nath Kovind will also visit Dr. BR Ambedkar Bhawan, which will be followed by a visit to Milan Kendra. The Kendra is the ancestral house of the President that was donated for public use & converted tointo community centre (Milan Kendra).
