Ujjawal Yojana Registration Process
-
A woman from a low-income (BPL) family who does not possess LPG must apply to the LPG distributor for a new connection (in the prescribed format).
-
When applying for the connection, the applicant must provide information such as their address, Jandhan/Bank Account number, and Aadhar card number.
-
The LPG fuel officials will cross-check the information provided with the SECC – 2011 database to confirm the family's BPL status and enter the information into a dedicated portal provided by the Oil Marketing Companies (OMC).
-
The de-duplication process and other due diligence measures will be carried out electronically by OMCs.
-
The OMCs will grant the LPG connection once all of the aforementioned stages have been completed.
-
The connection fees are borne by the government. However, the OMCs will provide the application with an EMI option, which will be deducted from the applicant's monthly subsidy.
-
If the State Government or a voluntary organization, or an individual want to contribute to the cost of the stove and/or the first refill, they may do so; however, they must do so only within the mentioned program, that is, under the scheme of PMUY.
-
The OMC's thorough Melas at numerous sites will also release additional connections.
-
Depending on the field conditions, the scheme will cover BPL families under all forms of distributorship and for all sizes of cylinders.
