At Yuvakranti Samavesha in Karnataka's Belagavi, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi presented the party's fourth election pledge, Yuva Nidhi, for unemployed youngsters. This is Rahul Gandhi's first visit to the state following the Bharat Jodo Yatra.

If the Congress is elected, the Yuva Nidhi programme will be implemented immediately in the state, according to the party. For two years, the plan will provide Rs. 3000 per month to unemployed youth with graduation degrees.

It will also pay Rs. 1500 in monthly allowance to young individuals with diplomas who are unemployed in the state. In February, the state unit of the Congress party unveiled the 'Anna Bhagya' scheme, which will distribute free 10kg rice every month to anyone living below the poverty line (BPL) in the state if the party is elected.

The Congress party also announced the 'Gruha Lakshmi' scheme for Karnataka women in January. If the party wins the election, each housewife in the state will receive Rs. 2,000 each month.

The announcement, made in the presence of senior leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who was in the state for the party's 'Na Nayaki' event in Bengaluru, was made in the company of 1.5 crore housewives, according to the party.

After forming the administration, the party also vowed to deliver 200 units of free power to every household in the state every month. Karnataka's elections are expected to take place in May.
