“Rajasthan has progressed in the Field of Power Generation, Like No One Else,” Ashok Gehlot at Invest Rajasthan Summit

The two-day Invest Rajasthan Summit with the theme ‘Committed-Delivered’ begins today in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The event was inaugurated by Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.

As per reports, top industrialists and nearly 3,000 delegates from India and abroad participated in the Invest Rajasthan Summit.

The NRI conclave, Future Ready Sectors conclave, Start-up conclave, Tourism conclave, and the Agribusiness conclave were covered today i.e., the Day one of the Summit, whereas the MSME conclave will take place on Day two (October 8).

Vedanta Group Chairman Anil Agarwal, ArcelorMittal Chairman and MD L N Mittal, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani, Tata Power CEO and MD Praveer Sinha, Mahindra & Mahindra CEO and MD Anish Shah, DCM Shriram Chairman Ajay S Shriram were some of the industrialists that attended the inaugural ceremony.

CM Gehlot presented the Rajasthan Ratna Award to Justice Dalveer Bhandari, Justice RM Lodha, industrialists Anil Agarwal and LN Mittal, scholar and poet Sheen Kauf Nizam, and a Rajasthani music label named Veena Music owner KC Malu.

During the Inaugural ceremony of the summit, the foundation stone was laid for some of the major MoUs/LoIs. There was no fresh MoU/LoI signing during the Summit.

“Rajasthan Government is providing all the facilities to the investors. Our policies are investor-friendly; we have a customized package and there is no dearth of basic amenities,” said Ashok Gehlot, Chief Minister of Rajasthan, at his address at Invest Rajasthan Summit.

He further added, “We have progressed in the field of Power Generation, like no one else. We had set up a 2-4 MW solar power plant when I first became the Chief Minister. Today, we have crossed the 4000 MW landmark.”

Adani Group invested over Rs 35,000 cr across multiple industrial sectors in Rajasthan. Continuing our investment in a renewable business, another 10,000 MW with an investment of Rs 50,000 cr is under implementation. This will be commissioned progressively for the next 5 yrs. In this context, just a week ago we also achieved commercial operations of the world's largest wind-solar hybrid power plant. It's here in Rajasthan,” said Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani at Invest Rajasthan 2022 Summit.

Sudhir Mehta, Chairman of Torrent Group said, “Rajasthan has always been the attractive investment destination owing to its rich natural resources, infrastructure facilities, investor-friendly policies backed by the ease of doing business and skilled manpower availability.”

“Rajasthan has become the first choice of investors today due to the best policies of the Rajasthan government along with natural and human resources,” said Anil Agarwal, Chairman, Vedanta Group.

“Success in any industry, including manufacturing, services, or agriculture, depends on having the right skills, being tech savvy, and sustainable,” stated B Thiagarajan, Managing Director, Blue Star Ltd.
