Rewari Madar freight corridor will bring new opportunities for farmers of NCR, Haryana & Rajasthan: Kailash Choudhary

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday dedicated the New Rewari-Madar section of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor to the country. The length of this corridor is 306 km. He also flagged off the world's first double-stack long-haul container train run by electric traction through video conferencing.

Union Minister Kailash Choudhary, who was present in the video conferencing, said that the industries of Rewari-Manesar, BhiwadiNarnaul, Dharuhera, Phulera, Ajmer, Kishangarh, Pushkar will benefit from the commencement of this corridor. Also, this corridor will bring new opportunities for the farmers of NCR, Haryana and Rajasthan. 

Amid negotiations with farmers' organizations regarding new agricultural laws, Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Kailash Choudhary said, “PM Modi can never be anti-farmer. Now comes the policies of the government, I am the son of a farmer myself and I have lived to farm. From running the plough to sowing the crops, I know every detail closely because I have worked in the field for years.” 

He further added that is why we have met both farmers who support and oppose the laws. I am sure that the agitation unions that are agitating are taking care of the interests of the farmers and are engaged in resolving it with promptness. 

Minister of State for Agriculture Kailash Choudhary further said that now with it comes the next thing that the MSP which will remain in force. The government has said this. If you are ready to give it in writing, then there should not be any kind of confusion in it. Whether private mandis or government mandis are the other buyers or the government buys, all this work will do. 

The thing is that a farmer is not selling in a nearby market; he is selling in a distant place or other states, why not farmers have the opportunity to sell in the open market? Yes, the government has agreed to the farmers to solve the questions that were in the minds of the farmers about the power of the straw.  

The agriculture sector will be given special attention in the upcoming budget: Minister of State for Agriculture Kailash Choudhary said that the Agricultural Reforms Act is in the interest of farmers, but the government is also ready for amendment through further talks with the opposing farmer organizations. Kailash Choudhary said that despite the terrible crisis of Corona period, the growth rate of the agriculture sector has been very encouraging. 

That is why, with the Modi government working towards connecting Indian agriculture to the global market, efforts are constantly being made to take the crisis-ridden agriculture sector to a new height through reforms. The central government has implemented a comprehensive scheme for the agriculture sector, which aims to double farmers' income by 2022.
