Rs 273 is Deposited in the Account on Cylinder Booking

  • For the past few days, Rs 273 has been deposited in the accounts of those, who are booking LPG.

  • This amount is being transferred under the Direct Benefit Scheme.

  • Also, the price of LPG has increased very rapidly in the last few months.

  • Along with this, the subsidy on cooking gas was completely abolished by the government.

Decision was taken in view of Assembly Elections

  • It is being said that the central government has taken this decision due to Assembly Elections, which is to be held in 5 states next year.

  • That is, the government has snatched this issue from the hands of the opposition.

  • The central government is trying its best to woo the public in this way.

Subsidy to LPG Consumers

  • As per media reports, at some places, the LPG gas consumers are being given a subsidy of Rs 79.26 per cylinder.

  • However, for some beneficiaries, the subsidy per cylinder has been given as Rs 158.52 or Rs 237.78.

  • The government reviews the prices of LPG at the beginning of every month.

  • Its effect can be seen in the review, which is to be held next month in December.

Good News about Prices of Petrol & Diesel

  • Petrol & diesel prices were also increasing continuously for the past several days, but now it is said that their prices may decrease soon.

  • The central government has decided to send 50,000 barrels of emergency reserve oil to the market.
