The Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TSREDCO) is inviting proposals for comprehensive solar projects. The corporation has opened bids for the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of grid-connected rooftop solar projects, totaling an impressive 1.08MW.

These projects, utilizing cutting-edge MONO PERC solar modules, aim to harness clean energy for various court complexes across the state. In addition to the rooftop solar ventures, TSREDCO has also called for proposals for a rooftop hybrid power project boasting a capacity of 40 kW, again employing Mono PERC solar modules.

The deadline for bid submissions is January 8, 2024, with bids set to be revealed on January 9, 2024.

The initiative aligns with the concept of net metering, offering a five-year comprehensive maintenance contract for the selected projects. The intended locations at various court complexes emphasize the strategic placement of these projects for optimal impact.

Upon selection, the allocation of work is structured as follows:

  • The L1 bidder secures 50 percent of the work

  • The L2 bidder secures 30 percent of the work

  • The L3 bidder secures 20 percent of the work

Bidders are required to submit a bid document fee of Rs 29,500 along with an earnest money deposit of Rs 17,10,000. The successful bidder must then furnish a performance security deposit amounting to 10 percent of the total project cost. Moreover, the selected developers are expected to commission the projects within 40 days of receiving the letter of intent.

Participation in the bidding process necessitates a valid registration with TSREDCO and a proven track record in the field of grid-connected solar systems. This experience should include installations at government buildings or within subsidy programs over the last three years, encompassing the current financial year.

Furthermore, bidders are required to demonstrate a minimum turnover of Rs 5,00,00,000 in any one financial year, ensuring a robust financial standing to contribute effectively to the ambitious solar projects.

As Telangana advances towards a greener and more sustainable future, these solar initiatives stand as significant steps in harnessing renewable energy and promoting environmental responsibility. The upcoming developments in the renewable energy sector in the state are poised to set new benchmarks for clean and efficient power generation.
