Haryana, according to Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, is a model state for crop production and horticulture.
The agriculture minister while talking to the media said that farmers must use latest technology to increase their productivity and profit. Tomar lauded Haryana, claiming that it is a state that leads the nation in horticulture and crop output.

He added we must maintain the caliber of our agricultural output and make sure it complies with international norms.
The minister remarked that despite the lockdown, all agricultural activities like sowing, harvesting, marketing, etc. continued uninterrupted and Agri growth remained positive. The minister said that our agriculture sector is very strong and has stood tall even in challenging situations like the Covid pandemic.
The initiatives taken by the state government are laudable, Tomar continued, adding that Haryana is a leader in agricultural production and the horticulture industry as well.
