The ZTM & BPD Unit and CCUBGA & Division of Microbiology, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi are organizing an Agripreneurship Development Program (ADP) on cultivation and harvesting of Spirulina biomass towards developing value-added product from 12thto 14th August, 2024.

Objective of ADP

To train entrepreneurs, faculties, progressive farmers and students on cultivation, processing and formulation of value-added products from Spirulina biomass.

Why attend?

After completing the training, participants will possess sufficient knowledge of cultivating, harvesting, processing, and formulating value-added products from Spirulina biomass. The training will also enhance participants' marketing capabilities and enable them to utilize natural resources sustainably, without compromising agricultural land and drinking water, which are depleting day by day. Additionally, it will create job opportunities and foster entrepreneurship.

  • Course Director: Dr. O.N. Tiwari, Principal Scientist, CCUBGA, Division of Microbiology, ICAR-IARI. 

  • Course Coordinator: Dr. Akriti Sharma, In-charge, ZTM & BPD Unit, ICAR-IARI.

Duration & Date: 03 days (12-14 August, 2024)

No. of trainees: up to 30 (First come first serve basis)

Venue: ZTM & BPD unit and CCUBGA & Division of Microbiology, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi
