UP Free Laptop Yojana: Students Will Get Free Tablet, Laptop & Smartphone on This Date

UP Free Tablet Smartphone Yojana:  Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has planned to distribute the free mobile phones & tablets to nearly 80 lakh college students in UP. Not just that after the distribution of the devices students will be provided with the education material, employment Information, information related to government's education and employment schemes for the next 2 years.

Under this scheme, the UP state government will be distributing free laptops, tablets , and smartphones to graduate & post-graduate students from technical, medical & nursing institutions. Also, it will distribute these devices only to those who are enrolled in the skill development program.    

Tablets and smartphones will provide to all the students enrolled in the current academic session 2021-22 in educational institutions under the Uttar Pradesh Government.  

The responsibility of free tablet and smartphone registration has been given to the respective universities and colleges.  

In the workshop organized at UP Development Systems Corporation’s office in Lucknow, all educational institutions have been instructed to upload the data of students on the portal by November 18. According to Kumar Vineet, Managing Director of UP desco, "All the students taking admission in courses related to professional studies and higher education including BA, MA, in the academic session 2021-22 will be given tablets and smartphones." 

When will the Students get Smartphone & Laptops? 

The preparations for distributing the free tablet and smartphone scheme are in the final stages. According to the information given by the government, its distribution will be started by the state government from next month i.e. first week of December. The tender process will be completed by the end of November and schedule of distribution will also be finalized.  

It has been clarified by the government that these devices will be provided to only those students who have never gotten the benefit of any other tablet smartphone scheme by the government previously.
