Weather Alert: Heavy Rain to Lash over These States from 2nd to 3rd July; Death Toll Rises to 27 in Assam Flood

Heavy Rain to Lash over These States from 2nd to 4th July
Scattered to fairly widespread rainfall very likely over central & adjoining east India during next 3 days and increase in intensity & distribution thereafter. Isolated heavy falls also very likely over Madhya Pradesh during next 3 days and isolated heavy to very heavy falls thereafter; isolated heavy falls over Chhattisgarh during next 5 days; over Bihar & Vidarbha from 1st to 4th July and heavy to very heavy at isolated places over Odisha from 2nd to 4th July 2020.
On the other hand, widespread rainfall activity is very likely to continue along the west coast during the next 5 days. Isolated heavy to very heavy falls is also very likely over Konkan & Goa during next 5 days; isolated heavy falls are also very likely over Coastal Karnataka during next 3 days and isolated heavy to very heavy falls thereafter and heavy falls over Kerala during next 5 days.
At least 27 People lost their Lives in Assam Flood
As per the recent reports, at least 27 people lost their lives in the furious Assam flood. The flood after heavy rain has affected crops on more than 75,700 hectares of land and about 20 lakh domesticated animals and poultry
Subdued rainfall activity over Western Himalayan Region and adjoining northwest India very likely to continue during next 3 days and its distribution & intensity very likely to increase thereafter.
Maximum & Minimum Temperature
Maximum temperatures are appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at most places over West Rajasthan; at many places over East Rajasthan; at isolated places over East Madhya Pradesh while minimum temperatures are markedly above normal (5.1°C or more) at a few places over West Rajasthan; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at many places over Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, East Rajasthan and Gujarat Region.
