Weather India: Heavy Rainfall & Thunderstorm Alert Issued over These Places for Next 5 Days

A cyclonic circulation lies over north Interior Odisha and neighbourhood and extends up to 7.6 km above mean sea level, tilting southwestwards with height, says the Indian Meteorological Department report in its morning bulletin. Under the influence of above systems, widespread rainfall along with heavy to very heavy falls at a few places with extremely heavy at an isolated place over very likely Konkan & Goa during next 24 hours.

Under the influence of above systems, widespread rainfall along with heavy to very heavy falls at a few places with extremely heavy at an isolated place over very likely Konkan & Goa during next 24 hours. Moreover, widespread rainfall along with isolated heavy to very heavy falls very likely along with the remaining parts of the west coast and northeast India during the next 5 days. Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy falls very likely over central & adjoining east India during next 2-3 days, says the weather forecast.

Southwest Monsoon Enters These States

Conditions are becoming favourable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into remaining parts of Central Arabian Sea, some parts of North Arabian Sea, remaining parts of Maharashtra (including Mumbai), some more parts of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand & Bihar and some parts of south Gujarat State and south Madhya Pradesh during next 24 hours.

Rain/Thundershowers Lash over at These Places Yesterday

Rain/Thundershowers observed at most places over Odisha, Coastal & North interior Karnataka, Kerala & Mahe, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura; at many places over Bihar; at a few places over Gangetic West Bengal, Assam & Meghalaya and Lakshadweep and at isolated places over East Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Marathawada, Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan & Goa, South interior Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan & Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh.

Thunderstorm observed (from 1730 hours IST yesterday to 0530 hours IST of today): at isolated places over Assam & Meghalaya, Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal & Sikkim, Bihar Jharkhand, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Konkan & Goa and Gujarat region.

Maximum & Minimum Temperature

Maximum temperatures were appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karikal while minimum temperatures were appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at most places over Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi; at isolated places over East Rajasthan;
